Follō is launching early 2026

Content Policy

Effective date: 28th October 2026

Follō lets people share their profiles, links and business details in one place. This Content Policy explains what can and cannot be shared on Follō so that it stays safe and trusted for everyone. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to everything you add to Follō, including your profile, digital business card, links, username and profile image.

Intellectual property

Follō, its features and its branding belong to MY-DEX LTD, as explained in our Terms. You keep ownership of what you create, but you must have the right to share everything you add to Follō. Please respect other people’s intellectual property rights, including copyright, trade marks and patents, and do not use someone else’s work, name or brand without their permission.

Privacy

Nobody should have to worry about their personal information being shared on Follō. You must not post or link to:

  • Another person’s private details, such as a home address, phone number, financial details or identity documents, without their consent
  • Intimate or sexual images of a person shared without their consent, including AI-generated or altered images of real people
  • Private messages or other private material shared without the permission of the people involved
  • Pages or tools that gather other people’s personal information without a lawful basis, such as their clear consent

Social media content

By connecting a social media account or adding content from one, you confirm that you are allowed to do so under that platform’s terms, and you stay responsible for following them.

Some Follō features use services provided by connected social media platforms. When you use these features, you also agree to follow the terms of service, community guidelines and privacy policy of each platform involved. Those platforms’ own policies apply to their content and services alongside our Terms and this Content Policy.

YouTube: Follō uses YouTube API Services. If you connect or use YouTube features in Follō, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Prohibited content

You must not post, upload, share or link to any of the following on Follō.

Impersonation and harassment

Do not pretend to be someone else. Profiles that copy another person or organisation, use their name, image or brand to mislead people, or use AI-generated content to pose as a real person are not allowed. Parody and fan accounts must be clearly labelled as such.

You also must not use Follō to bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone. That includes organising group attacks, publishing someone’s private details to target them, and urging others to join in.

Copyrighted material

Only share content that you created or have permission to use. Do not post or link to copyrighted material, such as images, video, music, writing or logos, that you do not have the right to use. If you believe your work has been copied without permission, report it as described under “Report a violation” below and tell us what the work is and where it appears.

Spam and scams

Follō is not a place for unwanted promotion or deception. This covers repetitive, unsolicited or misleading content, phishing, scams and fraudulent offers, links that trick people into handing over money or personal details, and links to malware or unsafe websites.

Adult content

Pornography and sexually explicit content are not allowed on Follō, including nudity shared for sexual purposes. You also cannot use Follō to advertise sexual services or escort services, or to solicit sex. Intimate images shared without consent are covered under Privacy above.

Child safety

Follō has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and you must not post or link to content that contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualises minors, or encourages or endorses harm to minors.

We treat reports of possible CSAE as our highest priority, report suspected CSAM and CSAE to the relevant authorities, and co-operate with law enforcement requests. We keep information connected to a report even if the account holder asks us to delete it.

Hate speech, terrorism and extremism

Content that attacks, demeans or discriminates against people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, colour, descent, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or another protected characteristic will be removed. We also do not allow content that promotes, supports or glorifies terrorism, violent extremism or organised criminal groups, including recruitment, incitement to violence and propaganda. We work with law enforcement and other authorities where needed.

Mental health content

People should be able to talk about recovery and support each other, but content that promotes, encourages or glamorises suicide, self-harm or eating disorders is not allowed. If you or someone you know is struggling, please contact a local health service or crisis helpline. In the UK, you can call Samaritans for free on 116 123.

Harmful activities

Do not promote activities that could cause physical harm, illness or death. This includes:

  • Graphic or gratuitous violence, gore, mutilation and cruelty, including to animals, as well as threats of violence or content that encourages it
  • Dangerous or unproven “cures” and other harmful medical advice
  • Selling or promoting illegal goods and services, such as illegal drugs, weapons and ammunition, and stolen or counterfeit goods
  • Anything else that breaks the law

Misinformation

Do not spread false or deceptive content that could put people at risk. This includes:

  • Manipulated media or documents presented as genuine
  • AI-generated content, such as deepfakes, made to deceive, impersonate, harass or sexualise
  • False claims about public health emergencies or medical treatment
  • False information meant to interfere with elections, such as wrong details about when, where or how to vote, who can vote, or offers to buy or sell votes

Enforcement

When we find, or are told about, content that breaks this Content Policy, we review it and respond in proportion to how serious it is. Where we can, we remove the content first before considering suspending an account. Depending on the breach, we may:

  • Remove or hide the content
  • Warn you
  • Limit your access to some features
  • Suspend or permanently close your account (see “Suspension and termination” in our Terms)
  • Report the matter to the police or other authorities where we think it is appropriate or we are legally required to

We may act without warning where the content is illegal or puts someone at risk, particularly in any child safety case. We do not check every piece of content before it appears, so please help us by reporting anything that breaks these rules.

Appeals

If you think we have removed content or closed your account by mistake, email support@follosocial.com within 30 days, explaining what happened. We will review your appeal and reply within 14 days. We may not accept appeals where the content involves child safety or other serious illegal activity.

Report a violation

If you come across content on Follō that might break this Content Policy or our Terms and Conditions, please report it. You can report a user’s card directly in the App: cards in the feed, and cards when expanded, have a “⋯” which opens a menu with a “Report card” option. Use it to report a card for content violations. Reporting is available to everyone who uses the App.

You can also report content or users by emailing us. Please tell us as much as you can, including where you saw the content and, for social feed content, which account it came from, so we can act quickly.

  • Content Violations: report@follosocial.com
  • Child Safety Concerns: childsafety@follosocial.com
